mX platform – training ecosystem

The mX Platform is our Training Ecosystem that offers training processes, resources, and environments in all of the mDNA to uncover the latent movement potential in leaders, teams, and organizations.

The training is led by a collection of movement practitioners and training organizations. The MLC Training Ecosystem team consists of expert practitioners who are applying mDNA readily within their organizations and training many others in a scalable way to do the same within their organizations.

All the ecosystem has to offer is designed to work with you to release movement potential, empower leaders, and spark movement dynamics in teams, churches, and organizations.

MOVEMENT DNA

Join the MLC Training Ecosystem for the first of a series of webinars focused on the DNA of movements. The DNA of movements, referred to as mDNA, are proven to form the foundation and framework for movemental Christianity and are leverage points for an organization to release movement potential.

As leaders and organizations, we are facing multiple challenges with a fast-paced, ever-changing, increasingly disrupted reality. We have to look deep within ourselves and our systems and dream again to reimagine church for the 21st Century in a more movemental form.

Our organizations need a shift from a reactionary, formulaic, and often centralized or solo leadership paradigm, to embrace a movemental approach that is more innovative, adaptive, transformational, and dispersed in our leadership and communal expressions.

MONTHLY WEBINAR SERIES

This webinar series will give you an introduction to “what movement is” and explore the six key elements that help us to pursue movement in our leadership, organization, and life. Come and see – and accept the invitation to take a first step towards a different future.

Training areas

We have training organizations which can focus on any one the 6 elements of mDNA (see below). You highlight the component part of mDNA on which you need training, then we will work in training you around the specific mDNA component.

Jesus is Lord

The recovery of the central role and significance of Jesus for discipleship, spirituality, theology, community, and mission.

A radical & unwavering commitment to the Way (ethos) of the Founder Jesus at the very center of it all. Rather than maintaining a generic “Jesus is Lord” confessional intent or promotion of badge or brand, leaders cultivate a clear and compelling vocabulary and focus that declares their identity and intent as the radical minimum standard of following Jesus together.

DISCIPLE MAKING

The practice of becoming more like Jesus and enabling others to do so; seeking to do the same things that Jesus did for the same reasons that he did them.

A clearly articulated vision for discipleship, as well as a clear process to ensure that disciple-making happens throughout the organization. Rather than aiming for attendance at programmatic offerings and the passing-on of information in classes, leaders create practices, processes, language and models for “becoming like Jesus” as the irreplaceable core task of the community in all components of ministry design.

LIMINALITY & COMMUNITAS

The dynamics of Christian community inspired to shake off their collective securities and form themselves around a common mission that calls them to an adventurous journey to unknown places.

An inbuilt culturally embedded willingness to regularly dare and to take risks in the cause of the movement. Rather than allowing an inward focus to reinforce a culture of safety and security, church leaders intentionally design risk-taking practices, environment and process to cultivate cause-based community as the normative expression of community.

MISSIONAL-INCARNATIONAL IMPULSE

Recovering the sent-ness of God and living incarnationally within the context that we are seeking to be good news to.

A commitment to extend the movement by going out and going deep into various cultures and interpreting the Gospel into these settings. Rather than attracting new attendees to the services through advertising and invitation practices, leaders train every believer to embrace the dynamic outward thrust (being sent) and deepening impulse (to stay with and amongst) to embody the gospel in the different cultures, people groups and places where they live, work and play.

APEST CULTURE

APEST as the DNA and latent potential within God’s people, realized and expressed to bring fullness, unity, and maturity to the body of Christ.

A missional ministry (and by extension, leadership) equal to the task of initiating, developing, and maintaining movement. Rather than recruiting volunteers to serve the organisational programming and only a few expressing leadership across the community, leaders help identity and deploy the APEST capability of every believer, leader, team and ministry to develop unity, release a diversity of gifting and together pursue maturity.

ORGANIC SYSTEMS

The church organizing itself as a living organism, viewed as a movement rather than an institution.

A system designed around internalized movement DNA, committed to empowering every agent in the system by pushing power and function to the outermost limits, along with a resolute pre-commitment to system-wide reproducibility and scalability. Rather than organising around the addition of members, groups, services and campuses with highly centralised control, leaders structure for empowerment at the grassroots level, orientated towards the edge, and through high accountability and low control allow for rapid multiplication at every level.
