Our Vision

 Catalysing jesus movements

to shift the tracks of history

We want to see the Church remember the forgotten ways of Jesus and reimagine itself as a movement. A first century design in a 21st Century context to create a tipping point towards movemental Christianity in the west.

Our aim is to spark imagination and change the conversation (100M Publishing), to convene and catalyze innovators, pioneers and catalysts (100 Movements), and release a people movement (The mX Platform).

Our daily mission is to equip leaders and organizations to clarify a shared purpose (movement vision), communicate a shared story (meta-narrative), embody shared values (culture), create shared environments (structure & systems), and express a shared life (communal practices).

This work empowers them to increase their kingdom impact and scale their efforts in embodying the Great Commission and catalysing Jesus movements.

Our Values

REJESUS
Christlike

We value being humble and servant-hearted, those who seek to learn and serve not to win or compete. Leaders who are guides, not heroes – seeking the mind of Christ to lead a Jesus-movement.

METANOIA
Changing

We value being radically whole-hearted, open to God, and willing to unlearn and relearn. Leaders who are being constantly formed and transformed through mind, soul, and will.

SCENIUS
Collaborative

We value an openness to others, looking for new truth/ideas. Leaders who are fellow learners, not experts – playing a part in the mosaic of Scenius, not painting a masterpiece on their own.

MOVEMENTAL
Catalytic

We value innovative, creative, and daring individuals, who are practitioners or thought leaders. Leaders who explore and pursue new frontiers and seek change – seeking to spark and sustain movement dynamics.

Our Strategy

We work with leaders, communities and organizations on a global scale, to unlock their kingdom potential, engage with movement dynamics, and multiply their impact. This happens through collaborative learning environments, Movement Development Plans (MDPs), tailored coaching projects with the leadership team, and training processes that we embed into the organization itself.

CATALYSTS

Activating movement catalysts who are leading apostolic movements and movement agencies, who have influence in key areas of the western church. This alliance has a shared purpose to create proof of concept and catalyze a tipping point towards movemental Christianity in the west.

COLLECTIVE

Working with leaders and organizations to unlock movement potential and to embody mDNA in order to extend their kingdom impact. This learning takes place through training, coaching and movement development plans.

GLOBAL

Gathering movement leaders across the globe connecting online and on the ground, sharing best practice and peer-learning from a western and non-western context. This learning is shared with the wider church in order to champion movement dynamics.

We create dynamic environments where movement leaders can rub shoulders, share ideas, discuss deeply and dream creatively together. Together, we learn from the past; are observant, aware and insightful in the present; and spur each other on to be courageous, collaborative and creative for the future.

We do this in larger community environments (50+ leaders gathering online and on/ground), social space dynamics where we have communities of 15-35 leaders learning together, as well as the more personal dynamics (smaller groups of 3-5).

Our Framework

Jesus is Lord

The recovery of the central role and significance of Jesus for discipleship, spirituality, theology, community, and mission.

A radical & unwavering commitment to the Way (ethos) of the Founder Jesus at the very center of it all. Rather than maintaining a generic “Jesus is Lord” confessional intent or promotion of badge or brand, leaders cultivate a clear and compelling vocabulary and focus that declares their identity and intent as the radical minimum standard of following Jesus together.

Discipleship & DISCIPLE MAKING

The practice of becoming more like Jesus and enabling others to do so; seeking to do the same things that Jesus did for the same reasons that he did them.

A clearly articulated vision for discipleship, as well as a clear process to ensure that disciple-making happens throughout the organization. Rather than aiming for attendance at programmatic offerings and the passing-on of information in classes, leaders create practices, processes, language and models for “becoming like Jesus” as the irreplaceable core task of the community in all components of ministry design.

MISSIONAL-INCARNATIONAL IMPULSE

Recovering the sent-ness of God and living incarnationally within the context that we are seeking to be good news to.

A commitment to extend the movement by going out and going deep into various cultures and interpreting the Gospel into these settings. Rather than attracting new attendees to the services through advertising and invitation practices, leaders train every believer to embrace the dynamic outward thrust (being sent) and deepening impulse (to stay with and amongst) to embody the gospel in the different cultures, people groups and places where they live, work and play.

APEST CULTURE

APEST as the DNA and latent potential within God’s people, realized and expressed to bring fullness, unity, and maturity to the body of Christ.

A missional ministry (and by extension, leadership) equal to the task of initiating, developing, and maintaining movement. Rather than recruiting volunteers to serve the organisational programming and only a few expressing leadership across the community, leaders help identity and deploy the APEST capability of every believer, leader, team and ministry to develop unity, release a diversity of gifting and together pursue maturity.

LIMINALITY & COMMUNITAS

The dynamics of Christian community inspired to shake off their collective securities and form themselves around a common mission that calls them to an adventurous journey to unknown places.

An inbuilt culturally embedded willingness to regularly dare and to take risks in the cause of the movement. Rather than allowing an inward focus to reinforce a culture of safety and security, church leaders intentionally design risk-taking practices, environment and process to cultivate cause-based community as the normative expression of community.

ORGANIC SYSTEMS

The church organizing itself as a living organism, viewed as a movement rather than an institution.

A system designed around internalized movement DNA, committed to empowering every agent in the system by pushing power and function to the outermost limits, along with a resolute pre-commitment to system-wide reproducibility and scalability. Rather than organising around the addition of members, groups, services and campuses with highly centralised control, leaders structure for empowerment at the grassroots level, orientated towards the edge, and through high accountability and low control allow for rapid multiplication at every level.

The 100 Movements

The 100 Jesus Movements are made up of apostolic movements and movement agencies who embody mDNA and seek to extend movemental Christianity. There are also organizations we are working with to uncover their movemental heritage and once again become movemental.
